Boeing appoints new sales/marketing VP for commercial airplanes

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has named Ihssane Mounir vice president of sales and marketing for commercial airplanes, replacing John Wojick, who is retiring after 36 years of company service.

In his new role, Mounir is responsible for the sales and marketing of all commercial airplanes and related services to airlines and leasing customers in all markets worldwide. His team´s duties include sales strategy, operations and customer relationships.

Mounir has held several leadership positions within Boeing´s sales organization, mostly recently as vice president of sales for Northeast Asia. He previously served as vice president of marketing, sales strategy and operations, responsible for developing and implementing cross-regional strategies for commercial airplanes.

Boeing is a large aerospace company and manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems. The company supports airlines and US and allied government customers in 150 countries.
