bluArc acquires Toronto-based phone company

bluArc, Canada´s hosted business phone & Internet services provider, has announced that it has officially acquired Toronto-based phone company, About Communications, the company said.

The deal had been in negotiation since early 2018.

For customers of About Communications, the acquisition brings with it a multitude of benefits including a more robust support organization, as well as new next generation Unified Communications features and functions including video conferencing, presence and chat capabilities, mobile integration, and more.

bluArc´s Unified Communications technology not only enables it to deliver voice and data services with the quality, security, and reliability of a traditional network, but also with the simplicity, the richness of feature, and the cost effectiveness that businesses demand. Additionally, for all of bluArc´s customers, including those from the acquisition, bluArc´s Hosted Business Phone and Business Grade Internet Services provide unlimited scalability with minimal or no capital expenditure.

bluArc has been organically acquiring marketshare across Canada for the past decade due to its reputation for taking its clients´ business processes, environment, and goals into consideration every time. This first acquisition marks a new step in bluArc´s strategic growth plan–another step in creating a pure-play national Unified Communications provider focused on the needs of small to medium sized businesses.
