Azul reports July 2019 passenger traffic increase of 24.5%

Brazil-based airline Azul S.A., (B3: AZUL4) (NYSE: AZUL) has announced 2.962 million in July 2019 passenger traffic (RPKs), a 24.5% compared to 2.380 million in July 2019, the company said.

Year-to-date passenger traffic in 2019 was 16.630 million, compared to 13.927 million in the same period of 2018, an increase of 19.4%.

Capacity (ASKs) in July 2019 was 3.421 million, compared to 2.787 million in June 2018,an increase of 22.7%. Year to date capacity in 2019 was 19.889 million, compared to 17.014 million in the same period of 2018, an increase of 16.9%.

July 2019 load factor was 86.6%, compared to 85.4% in July 2018, an increase of 1.2 p.p. Year-to-date load factor in 2019 was 83.6%, compared to 81.9%, an increase of 1.7 p.p.

Azul S.A. offers 840 daily flights to 114 destinations. With an operating fleet of 129 aircraft and more than 11,000 crew members, the company has a network of 220 non-stop routes as of June 30, 2019.
