Aviat inks new NASPO ValuePoint deal

Microwave networking solutions provider Aviat Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVNW) has been selected to supply microwave by the purchasing arm of the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) NASPO ValuePoint, the company said.

Under terms of the contract, US state and local government agencies may purchase microwave networking solutions and services from Aviat Networks at pre-negotiated terms through 2021.

Aviat´s entire portfolio is available through NASPO ValuePoint.

After a state approves its participation in NASPO ValuePoint, all local government entities in that state such as counties, cities, school districts and public colleges and universities can take advantage of its purchasing leverage. It also enables them to save time and money not having to manage their own competitive bid process, hire integration consultants and other bureaucratic tasks.

Currently, 30 states have signed with NASPO ValuePoint.

The NASPO ValuePoint Cooperative Purchasing Organization (formerly WSCA-NASPO) provides public cooperative contracting. By leveraging the leadership and expertise of all states with the purchasing power of their public entities, NASPO ValuePoint delivers competitively sourced contracts.
