Average US roundtrip ticket price remains steady at USD 484

Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) has reported that the average US roundtrip ticket price for November 2017 was USD 484, unchanged from October 2017, the company said.

Average November 2017 ticket prices are down .5 percent compared to November 2016.

The consolidated dollar value of airline tickets sold by US-based travel agencies increased 5.4 percent in November as compared to November 2016, totaling USD 6.8 billion vs. USD 6.4 billion. The number of passenger trips* settled by ARC for US travel agencies increased 3.5 percent to 20,409,186 compared to 19,724,138 in November 2016.

Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD) sales in November 2017 comprised almost USD 5.9 million, a 5.4 percent decrease compared to November 2016. EMD transactions also decreased 13.6 percent to 94,441 in November 2017 vs. 109,332 in 2016.
