Atos, an integrator of the 2016 Olympic (IOC) and Paralympic Games, has led the International Olympic Committee´s (IOC) technology effort to enable games results and other data to be shared both online and through traditional means, the company said.
The company said distributing the results to the world via mobile technology in less than half a second, is expected to be fully realized at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. In order to relay results, events and athlete information to spectators and media around the world, Atos has strengthened its systems with new technologies, such as the Olympic video player, which offers real-time results of sporting events, including statistics and biographies.
Atos is a digital services provider with revenue of EUR12 billion, and 100,000 employees in 72 countries. Atos has provided IT solutions to the Olympic Games since 1992 and is a partner in the digital transformation of the Games for Rio 2016.
