The directorate general of Turkey´s civil aviation has announced air carrier AtlasGlobal has suspended flights and is to file for bankruptcy, the agency said.
Reports in the Turkish media emerged on 12 February that AtlasGlobal was to discontinue operations, less than two months after resuming operations initially suspended in November.
Turkey´s directorate general of civil aviation said Atlasjet Airlines filed for bankruptcy because its operations could not continue and their flights were stopped.
The Turkish carrier had been forced to suspend flights on 26 November owing to financial challenges. The carrier resumed flights in December, serving destinations including Baghdad, Tehran and London Stansted.
