Atlantic Broadband and Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) have renewed their multi-year, multi-platform contract, the companies said.
Atlantic Broadband has offered Univision programming to its Miami customers for the past 12 years.
With this contract renewal, Atlantic Broadband customers will continue to have access to the programmer´s broadcast and cable networks, Univision, UniMÃ¡s and GalavisiÃ³n, and Atlantic Broadband will be adding El Rey Network in select markets by the end of the year. The new agreement also brings with it rights for enhanced On Demand content and new TV Online capabilities that will allow customers to watch their favorite Univision programming on devices and computers whenever and wherever they want. These new capabilities are expected to roll out later in 2016.
Univision Communications includes Univision Network, UniMÃ¡s, Univision Cable Networks, Univision tlnovelas, ForoTV, and Univision Television Group. Headquartered in New York City, UCI has television network operations in Miami and television and radio stations and sales offices in major cities throughout the United States.
Atlantic Broadband provides TV, Internet and phone services to approximately 246,000 television service customers located in five operating regions: western Pennsylvania, Miami Beach, Maryland/Delaware, Aiken, S.C. and eastern Connecticut. It is headquartered in Quincy, Massachusetts.
