AT&T (NYSE: T) has invested nearly USD2.0 billion in its Indiana wireless and wired networks during 2013-2015, driving upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses, and enhancing services that support public safety and first responders, the company said.
In 2015, AT&T made more than 375 wireless network upgrades in Indiana. This included new cell sites, addition of network capacity, and new wireless high-speed Internet connections.
AT&T also added more than 20 new cell sites, increased 4G LTE speeds to more than 45 cell sites and additional 4G capacity to more than 300 cell sites. The company launched GigaPower in parts of the state. Indiana network enhancements in 2015 included:
