AT&T (NYSE: T) and China Mobile have agreed to work together to further enable the Internet of Things (IoT), the companies said.
The deal will help AT&T global business customers connect and deploy their assets and offerings in the Chinese market.
China Mobile covers more than 1.3 billion people with its 4G network, making it the largest 4G network in the world, AT&T said.
AT&T is developing a new tech platform that will seamlessly move a business customer´s AT&T IoT subscription over to China Mobile´s local service. The behind-the-scenes switch will help simplify the supply chain for customers looking to expand to China.
