AT&T awarded US defense contract valued at USD74m

AT&T, Inc. (NYSE: T) has been awarded a contract worth up to USD74.6 million over five years from the US Defense Information Systems Agency, the company said.

AT&T will provide secure telecom services that support US senior leadership communications between select Department of Defense aircraft and ground stations across the continental US and around the world.

The company will also provide long-haul telecommunications and related transmission circuits that support the government´s restricted-use, ultra-high frequency communications platform.

AT&T Inc. provides entertainment, mobile, high-speed Internet and voice services with TV customers in the US and 11 Latin American countries.
