Sheremetyevo International Airport has announced the ACI Airport Service Quality Award (ASQ) has recognized the Russian airport with an award in the category Best Airport by Size and Region for Over 40 million passengers per year for 2018, the company said.
Sheremetyevo Airport has been rated one of the best airports in Europe in terms of service quality for six consecutive years. The ASQ Award marks the first time it has been recognized as the top airport in the category of airports serving more than 40 million passengers a year. Additionally, Sheremetyevo made the ACI Director General´s Roll of Excellence. The ACI Director General´s Roll of Excellence recognizes airports that have consistently delivered excellence in customer service by winning multiple ASQ awards over a five-year period.
Participation in the ASQ ACI research program gives Sheremetyevo Airport the opportunity to receive objective data on passenger satisfaction with the quality of service.
Sheremetyevo International Airport is one of the TOP-10 airports hub in Europe, and the largest Russian airport in terms of passenger and freight traffic. At the end of 2018, the airport served 45,836,000 passengers, which is 14.3% higher than in 2017.
