ARC supports diverse airline distribution models

Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) has announced that it is joining NDC Exchange, an industry-owned solution developed jointly between ATPCO and SITA. NDC Exchange is a community-driven marketplace which enables airlines and travel sellers to quickly adopt new distribution capability, or NDC, the company said.

NDC Exchange, an IATA-certified NDC service, performs real-time message translation and supports many industry APIs regardless of schema standard and version. By connecting multiple airlines to many sellers with a single interface, customers can extend their reach to traditional and non-traditional distribution points, reducing distribution costs and expediting interoperability across the travel industry ecosystem.

As part of the ongoing partnership, ARC and ATPCO will create a joint project team to work on integrating order-to-sales data transformation and integrating the ARC settlement services.

ARC announced its partnership with British Airways to test and implement enhancements to its settlement platform last month.
