ARC reports lower average ticket prices to Caribbean, Mexico this winter

Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) has reported that flying the the Caribbean and Mexico during the winter months can expect to pay slightly less than last year, the company said.

Nearly 240,000 air tickets to the top 10 destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean have been purchased. Results are based on roundtrip air tickets purchased by February 1, 2017 for travel from December 1, 2016–February 28, 2017.

The top spot for winter travel is Cancun with nearly 63,000 air tickets sold. The average ticket price to travel to Cancun is USD 485.51, down from USD 499.95 in 2016. The lowest average priced ticket is USD 435.58 to Guadalajara, also down from USD 507.45 in 2016.

Ticket average prices for travel to Mexico City (USD 529.52), Puerto Rico (USD 438.58), Los Cabos (USD 539.79), Montego Bay (USD 556.46), Puerto Vallarta (USD 510.73), Nassau (USD 491.75) and Santo Domingo (USD 529.27) are also lower than last year. Only tickets to Punta Cana were up this year, increasing approximately USD 10 to USD 600.95.
