Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) has reported the average US roundtrip ticket price for October 2017 was USD 484, up from USD 467 in September, the company said.
Average October 2017 ticket prices are up .7 percent compared to October 2016.
The consolidated dollar value of airline tickets sold by US-based travel agencies increased 7 percent in October as compared to October 2016, totaling USD 7.4 billion vs. USD 6.9 billion. The number of passenger trips* settled by ARC for US travel agencies also increased 5.2 percent to 22,417,336 compared to 21,307,750 in October 2016.
Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD)** sales in October 2017 comprised almost USD 5.8 million, an 8.5 percent increase over October 2016. EMD transactions decreased 7.2 percent to 99,740 in October 2017 vs. 107,447 in 2016.
