Aptilo Networks said it is expanding its operations in the Americas, announcing several key hires and a consolidation of US-based operations to meet the growing demand for carrier Wi-Fi in the region.
This expansion comes on the heels of Aptilo´s 14th Stadium Wi-Fi win in North America, and a deployment enabling carrier Wi-Fi services for a large service provider in Canada.
“This is an exciting time in the wireless industry. Attractive carrier-class Wi-Fi services have become a necessity for mobile and cable operators to retain subscribers, and new initiatives such as Wi-Fi Calling are a game-changer for the industry. Aptilo helps them stay one step ahead,” said Jonas Jacobsson, Vice President, Sales, Americas, Aptilo Networks. “We are proud to add to our outstanding teams and support Aptilo´s growth in the Americas.”
José Farias joins Aptilo as director of Sales, Latin America. John Robinson has been named director of Sales, North America. Farias and Robinson are based in Aptilo´s regional office in Dallas, Texas. Both report to Jacobsson.
Streamlining the sales-deployment cycle, Aptilo has consolidated operations in the Americas by bringing the regional sales and support teams together in the Dallas office.
Aptilo´s Stadium Wi-Fi installations are at venues that are home bases to National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
Aptilo Networks is a leading provider of carrier-class systems to manage data services with advanced functions for authentication, policy control and charging.
