Applied Avionics supports Rockwell Collins' ADS-B Out certification

Rockwell Collins has announced the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has certified the company´s ADS-B Out Part 25 approved model list supplemental type certificate (AML-STC), the company said.

This path covers multiple aircraft models from Bombardier, Gulfstream Aerospace, Sabreliner Aviation and Textron Aviation and includes the latest variant of the TDR-94/94D Mode S Transponder. This certification is in addition to the Part 23 AML-STC that Rockwell Collins announced in February 2018.

Both Part 25 and Part 23 certifications can utilize a VIVISUN ADS-B Out Annunciator configured with an internal ARINC 429 discrete signal converter as a simple and cost-effective solution.

Applied Avionics is the manufacturer of the VIVISUN line of ruggedized, lighted pushbutton switches and NEXSYS® system-to-system integration avionics. Using NEXSYS Component Technology, tailored avionics solutions are possible directly inside of the switch offering significant SWaP advantages, a simpler certification process and a reduced bill of materials.
