App Annie has appointed Al Campa as chief marketing officer, who brings domain expertise in various industries, including on-demand SaaS applications, enterprise software and business intelligence analytics, the company said.
Campa joins App Annie´s executive team comprised of tech innovators with backgrounds in mobile gaming, digital platforms, finance and tech B2B. In his role, Campa will be responsible for spearheading global marketing initiatives and operations.
Prior to joining App Annie, Campa held the position of chief marketing officer of RingCentral, where he led the company into the enterprise, and repositioned the brand to accelerate growth. Before RingCentral, Campa was EIR and partner at Sierra Ventures, and CEO of Reachable.
This news comes on the heels of several key milestones for App Annie over the past 12 months, including increasing its current headcount from 300 to 450, securing USD63 million in Series E financing, acquiring marketing data company AppScotch and, earlier this month, launching Forecast Intelligence.
