ANA has taken delivery of the Airbus A320neo, powered by the technology in the PurePower geared turbofan (GTF) engine developed by Pratt & Whitney, the company said.
Pratt & Whitney has accepted firm and option orders for the PurePower engine from more than 80 customers in more than 30 countries.
ANA is based in Tokyo, Japan.
Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company that designs, manufactures and services aircraft engines and auxiliary power units. United Technologies Corp., based in Farmington, Connecticut, provides high-technology systems and services to the building and aerospace industries.
