Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport issues statement regarding coronavirus developments

Schiphol airport in the Netherlands has announced passenger numbers in the first week of March went down by 20% and are expected to increase with the restrictions on flights to and from the US, the company said.

The airport issued a statement saying it is keeping a close eye on developments and will respond quickly as and when they happen. Schiphol, the government, airlines and partners are working together on additional scenarios going forward, such as operating Schiphol at a smaller scale.

The United States 30-day entry ban will have an impact on Schiphol since there are weekly more than 200 flight from Schiphol to the United States.
