Ameriflight appoints new chief financial officer

Ameriflight, LLC said it has appointed David W. Moore as chief financial officer to replace David DeRose, who retired after a 24-year career at the company.

Moore comes to Ameriflight from Loomis US, a cash handling company, where over the past seven years he has held various District and Regional Controller positions encompassing the Southern United States and Puerto Rico. Prior to Loomis, David was CFO of Alliance Systems, LTD. in Plano, Texas where he served as Vice President of Finance and Controller. Moore has Bachelor of Finance and Masters in Accounting and IS degrees from the University of Texas school system.

Founded in 1968, Ameriflight has grown from a small air charter and cargo service carrier to an international operator and the largest US 14 CFR Part 135 air cargo carrier, operating scheduled and contract cargo services in 43 US states, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The company is headquartered in Dallas, TX and has more than 700 employees including over 200 pilots and over 200 aircraft.
