American Airlines recognizes 4 employees for work in diversity, inclusion

American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) has recognized four employees with the 2016 Earl G. Graves Award for leadership in diversity and inclusion, the company said.

The company said the employees have championed diversity by serving as leaders of employee business resource groups (EBRG), challenging the ideas of local civic leaders to bring about change and raised significant funds to help those in need throughout the world.

The airline recognized Priyanka Arora, senior specialist, IT vendor relations;
Faythe Clark, home-based representative, elite desk reservations; Victor Escalante, manager, customer experience reservations, DFW reservations; and Todd Rice, manager — purchasing administration & supply development, headquarters.

American Airlines and American Eagle offer an average of nearly 6,700 flights per day to nearly 350 destinations in more than 50 countries.
