American Airlines has announced it has launched daily flight service between Orlando/Melbourne International Airport (MLB) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), the company said.
Weekly nonstop service on Saturdays began in February, and the proven demand has demonstrated the need for the new daily service. These flights help fill the void of a longtime needed connection to Philadelphia, which is MLB´s fourth largest market.
New daily service to Philadelphia begins just weeks after TUI, a global holiday company, announced MLB will become its new gateway to Florida for all of its UK customers beginning in 2022. To accommodate the anticipated surge of international traffic, plans to renovate and expand the airport´s terminal infrastructure and amenities are underway that will benefit all MLB passengers and airlines.
As an American Airlines hub, service to Philadelphia gives travelers the option to fly to more than 120 destinations worldwide, including recently announced destinations like Morocco and Iceland.
