American Airlines Group (NASDAQ: AAL) has reported total revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in September 2016 were 17.8 billion, compared to 18.0 billion in September 2015, a decrease of 1.7 percent, the company said.
Total capacity was 21.8 billion available seat miles (ASMs), down 0.4 percent from 21.5 billion in September 2015.Total passenger load factor was 81.6 percent, down 1.1 percentage points from 82.7 in September 2015.
Year to date 2016, the company reported 170 billion in revenue passenger miles, compared to 169 billion for the same period in 2015, an increase of 0.7 percent.
Available seat miles in year-to-date 2016 were 208 billion, compared to 203 billion in the same period of 2015, an increase of 2.2 percent.
The load factor year-to-date 2016 was 81.9 percent compared to 83.1 percent in the same period of 2015, a decrease of 1.2 pt.
American Airlines and American Eagle offer an average of nearly 6,700 flights per day to nearly 350 destinations in more than 50 countries.
