American Airlines, Communications Workers of America, International Brotherhood of Teamsters reach tentative agreement

American Airlines and the Communications Workers of America and International Brotherhood of Teamsters (CWA-IBT) have reached a tentative agreement on a new joint collective bargaining agreement.

The CWA-IBT represents American Airlines gate and ticket agents, Premium Service representatives, Reservations representatives and Travel CeWebsite.

The tentative agreement provides significant pay raises to team members, while preserving jobs and facilitating growth, Kerry Philipovitch, senior vice president — customer experience, said.

The CWA-IBT said it will share details of the tentative agreement directly to their membership.

American Airlines Group (NASDAQ: AAL) is the holding company for American Airlines and US Airways. Together with regional partners, operating as American Eagle and US Airways Express, the airlines operate an average of nearly 6,700 flights per day to nearly 350 destinations in more than 50 countries.
