Amazon Web Services features includes partner story about Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has featured Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance in a partner story about the use of technology to push healthcare forward, the company said.

Angel MedFlight incorporates advanced technology to enhance patient care and safety. As a leader in air medical transportation, Angel MedFlight is proud to partner with Amazon Web Services on its custom iPad medical charting application, MedLog2.

The article highlights how Angel MedFlight´s development team created an iPad medical charting application, MedLog2, and soon saw a need to explore and expand storage solutions for its digital content. After not finding a canned solution, the team opted to build their own solution and integrate Salesforce and Amazon Web Services.

Angel MedFlight´s custom application directly integrates with Amazon S3 via an API and pulls all uploaded data immediately into AWS. Employees can edit, replace, or delete attachments and records depending on their role and permissions. These enhancements allow clinicians in the field to better utilize technology and improve the patient experience all while at 40,000 feet in the air.

Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance Services, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, partners with healthcare providers to safely transport patients from anywhere in the world for the life-changing care they need. Angel MedFlight and its aviation Part 135 partners use a Learjet fleet of medically-configured aircraft for critical care and smoother, faster travel.
