Alaska Airlines names manager for Seattle Airport operations

Alaska Airlines said it has named 25-year Alaska Airlines employee Wayne Newton managing director of its Seattle station, overseeing the day-to-day operations at its largest hub.

Newton replaces John Ladner, who moved into the role of managing director of fleet, standards and operational control on Sept. 1.

Previously, Newton served as Alaska´s managing director of systems operations control. He has also held positions including managing director of airport operations, covering all airports outside of Seattle, and director of station operations (Seattle).

Newton holds a bachelor´s degree from the University of Washington.
