Alaska Airlines and Finnair are giving members of their frequent flyer programs the opportunity to earn miles/points as Finnair launches new flights from San Francisco, the company said.
Members of Alaska Mileage Plan can now begin earning miles on Finnair, and Finnair Plus members can begin earning and redeeming points on Alaska Airlines. Award redemption will commence later this year.
The carrier operates Airbus A330-300 aircraft on its US routes.
Alaska Airlines, together with Virgin America and its regional partners, flies 40 million customers a year to 118 destinations with an average of 1,200 daily flights across the United States and to Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica and Cuba. With Alaska and Alaska Global Partners, customers can earn and redeem miles on flights to more than 900 destinations worldwide. Finnair flies between Asia, Europe and North America with an emphasis on fast connections via Helsinki, carrying more than ten million passengers annually.
