Alaska Airlines extends early boarding for guests wearing Russell Wilson jersey

To support Chief Football Officer Russell Wilson during the 2017 football season, Alaska Airlines has announced the return of its popular promotion, inviting guests wearing his No. 3 jersey to board early on all flights departing Seattle, the company said.

The promotion begins August 11, in time for Seattle´s first pre-season game, and will continue through the end of the regular season.

While it may be Wilson´s sixth year as Seattle´s quarterback, 2017 marks his fifth year serving as Alaska´s Chief Football Officer. Through this continued partnership, Wilson and the airline support youth and education programs, including the Seattle Children´s Hospital Foundation, Strong Against Cancer and Wilson´s Why Not You Foundation. Since 2014, Alaska has provided more than USD 700,000 in cash and in-kind donations to these organizations, which work to end childhood cancer and better the lives of local youth.

Alaska Airlines, together with Virgin America and its regional partners, flies 40 million guests a year to 118 destinations with an average of 1,200 daily flights across the United States and to Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica and Cuba. With Alaska and Alaska Global Partners, guests can earn and redeem miles on flights to more than 900 destinations worldwide.
