Alaska Airlines donates to nonprofits in Alaska, Hawaii, Washington

New mid-year grants will support local youth and education efforts

The Alaska Airlines Foundation has awarded USD145,000 in grants to 12 nonprofit organizations throughout the states of Alaska, Hawaii and Washington to support local youth and education efforts, the company said.

The foundation has added a mid-year grant to complement its traditional end of year cycle. For nearly 20 years, the Alaska Airlines Foundation has distributed cash grants to locally-based nonprofit organizations supplementing the company´s corporate giving program that donated over USD11 million in cash and in-kind gifts in 2015.

Alaska Airlines, together with its regional partners, flies 32 million customers a year to more than 110 cities with an average of 970 daily flights throughout the United States, including Hawaii, Canada, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
