Alaska Airlines announces companion fare promotion for new cardholders in May, June

New Alaska Airlines Visa Signature consumer cardholders who apply in May and June can buy one ticket and get their first companion fare for just the taxes and fees (after qualifying purchases), the company said.

The annual companion fare allows cardholders to take someone along to anywhere Alaska and Virgin America fly for USD 99 (plus taxes and fees from USD 22) – with no blackout dates.

Cardholders flying on Virgin America flights now also enjoy all Alaska Airlines benefits.

With Alaska and Alaska Global Partners, members can earn and redeem miles to more than 900 destinations worldwide.

Alaska Airlines, together with Virgin America and its regional partners, flies 40 million customers a year to 118 destinations with an average of 1,200 daily flights across the United States and to Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica and Cuba.
