Alaska Air Group Inc. (NYSE: ALK) has reported 2,828,000 in revenue passenger miles (RPM) in September 2016, compared to 2,633,000 in September 2015, a year-over-year increase of 7.4 percent, the company said.
The company reported 3,361,000 available seat miles ASM in September 2016, compared to 3,225,000 in September 2015, an increase of 4.2 percent. Year-to-date, the company reported 32,728,000 ASM, compared to 29,574,000 in 2015, an increase of 10.7 percent.
Passenger load factor in September 2016 was 84.1 percent compared to 81.6 percent in September 2015, and year-to-date, passenger load factor was 84.2 percent compared to 84.7 percent in 2015.
The company´s Air Group, including flights operated by Alaska, Horizon and those under third-party capacity purchase agreements showed revenue passenger miles of 2,828,000 in September 2016, compared to 2,633,000 in September 2015, an increase of 7.4 percent. Year-to-date RPMs were 27,569,000 in 2016, compared to 25,052,000 in 2015, an increase of 10 percent.
Available seat miles (ASM) in September 2016 were 3,361,000, compared to 3,225,000 in 2015, an increase of 4.2 percent. Year-to-date ASM in 2016was 32,728,000 compared to 29,574,000, an increase of 10.7 percent.
Alaska reported a 6.6 percent increase in traffic on a 3.2 percent increase in capacity compared to September 2015. Load factor increased 2.7 points to 84.5 percent. Alaska also reported 90.2 percent of its flights arrived on time in September, compared to the 88.8 percent reported in September 2015.
The airline reported regional traffic increased 14.5 percent on a 12.5 percent increase in capacity compared to September 2015. Load factor increased 1.5 points to 81.2 percent. Alaska also reported 90.1 percent of its regional flights arrived on time in September, compared to the 85.2 percent in September 2015.
