Alaska Air Group Inc. has reported 4.964m in passenger traffic year to date compared to 4,785m in 2017, a 3.8% increase in traffic, the company said.
Operational results are reported for the company´s mainline operations operated by subsidiary Alaska Airlines, Inc and for its regional flying operated by subsidiary Horizon Air Industries Inc. and third-party regional carriers SkyWest Airlines and Peninsula Airlines.
On a combined basis for all operations, Air Group reported a 4.3% increase in capacity, reported as available seat miles (ASMs), compared to year to date in 2017. Year to date 2018 ASMs were 5,591m; available seat miles in the same period in 2017 were 5.552m.
Passenger load factor in year to date was 85.7%, compared to 86.2% in the same period for 2017, an increase of (0.5) its.
Alaska Airlines and its regional partners fly 44 million guests a year to more than 115 destinations with an average of 1,200 daily flights across the United States and to Mexico, Canada and Costa Rica.
