Alaska Air Group reports 2.8% increase in July 2019 traffic

Alaska Air Group Inc. has announced its Air Group reported 5,383,000 in July 2019 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 2.8% increase compared to 5,236,000 in July 2018, the company said.

Year-to-date RPMs were 32,471,000, compared to 32,122,000 for the same period in 2018, an increase of 1.1%.

Revenue passengers in July 2019 were 4,420,000, compared to 4,353,000 in July 2018, an increase of 1.5%. Year-to-date revenue passengers were 26,863,000, compared to 26,911,000 in the same period of 2018, a decrease of (0.2)%.

Capacity in July 2019, measured in available seat miles (ASM), was 6,119,000, compared to 5,969,000 in July 2018, a 2.5% increase. Year-to-date ASMs were 38,605,000, compared to 38,282,000 in the same period of 2018, an increase of 0.8%.

Passenger load factor in July 2019 was 88.0%, compared to 87.7% in July 2018, a 0.3 pts. increase. Year-to-date load factor in 2019 was 84.1%, a 0.2 pts. increase over 83.9% in the same period of 2018.

Alaska Airlines and its regional partners fly 46 million guests a year to more than 115 destinations with an average of 1,200 daily flights across the United States and to Mexico, Canada and Costa Rica.
