Alaska Air Group Inc. has reported 4,186m in passenger revenue miles in September 2018, a 0.6% increase in traffic over 4,162m in September 2017, the company said.
Available seat miles (ASMs) in September 2018 were 5,183m, a 3.2% increase in capacity compared to 5,021m in September 2017.
Load factor decreased 2.1 points to 80.8 percent in September 2018, compared to 82.9% in September 2017.
Alaska Air´s Mainline division reported a 0.3 percent decrease in traffic on a 2.4 percent increase in capacity compared to September 2017. Load factor decreased 2.2 points to 81 percent. Mainline also reported 85.2 percent of its flights arrived on time in September 2018, compared to 83.9 percent reported in September 2017.
Mainline operational results reflect both Alaska and Virgin America combined.
Regional traffic increased 9.7 percent on an 11.4 percent increase in capacity compared to September 2017. Load factor decreased 1.4 points to 78.2 percent.
Alaska Airlines and its regional partners fly 44 million guests a year to more than 115 destinations with an average of 1,200 daily flights across the United States and to Mexico, Canada and Costa Rica.
