Air Siem Reap, MJ Airlines certified to operate in Cambodia

Cambodia´s Secretariat of State Civil Aviation has announced it has certified two new airlines to operate flights in the Kingdom, the department said.

The civil aviation division said it considered the certification of Thailand´s Air Siem Reap, and China-based MJ Airlines will not only allow options for tourists, but also promote service quality.

Nine airlines are currently operating in Cambodia — they are Cambodia Angkor Air, Cambodia Bayon Airlines, Bassaka Airlines, Small Planet Airlines, Lanmei Airlines, JC International Airlines, Sky Angkor Airlines, Cambodia Airways, and KC International Airlines.

Cambodia handled about 5.2 air passengers in the first six months of 2018 — suggesting an increase of nearly 24 percent compared to the same period last year.
