Air Partner sponsors DKMS event to fight blood cancer

Air Partner has joined the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders by sponsoring the annual Blood Ball, a Halloween-inspired event that benefits DKMS, the company said.

The company said every three minutes, someone in the US is diagnosed with a blood cancer. For many patients, a bone marrow transplant is the best chance for survival, and 70 percent of patients must rely on strangers for bone marrow transplants. DKMS works globally to recruit donors, create awareness, and raise funds to match donor registration costs and support the improvement of therapies through research.

Air Partner is a global provider of private aviation services that provides worldwide solutions to industry, commerce, governments and private individuals. The company has two divisions‎: (a) broking division, comprising air charter broking and remarketing through the Air Partner and Cabot brands; and (b) training & consulting division, via the aviation safety consultancy Baines Simmons.

DKMS is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to the fight against blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma. DKMS has registered more than 6.7 million potential donors and has facilitated over 58,000 transplants around the world.
