The Air France-KLM Group has announced its corporate social responsibility report highlights results, commitments and actions implemented for its sustainable transition, the company said.
In 2019, Air France-KLM is once again the leader in its sector in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
As part of its Horizon 2030 programme, Air France has set itself the ambitious objective of reducing its CO2 emissions per passenger-kilometre by 50% by 2030 – compared with 2005 – thanks to the introduction of new-generation aircraft into its fleet, innovations in terms of eco-piloting and the gradual use of bio-fuels.
These strategic choices are supported in particular by a partnership with the Solar Impulse Foundation, which will accelerate the ecological transition towards sustainable aviation. In addition, the dynamic created by the Air France Group´s activities plays a major role in the economic and social life of the regions where it operates, notably through support for local businesses, tourism, solidarity programmes and the promotion of diversity.
