Air Canada named official airline of hockey's World Cup

Air Canada has been named the official airline of the World Cup of hockey and will fly all eight teams and 150 players to Toronto for the two-week tournament featuring the top players in the world, the company said.

Eight teams made up of the world´s top 150 players will play in the tournament, including Team Canada, Team Czech Republic, Team Finland, Team Russia, Team Sweden, Team USA, Team Europe and Team North America. The two-week tournament will progress from the preliminary round to the semifinals and ultimately the final, with all tournament games played at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Air Canada is a Canadian domestic and international airline serving more than 200 airports on six continents and serving more than 41 million customers.
