Air Calédonie returns a new Airbus A330neo due to strange odors

Air Calédonie International has announced it grounded one of its two new Airbus A330neo aircraft for two weeks because the plane smelled like wet socks, the company said.

The odors affected the crew, with complaints of headaches, vomiting and irritated eyes.
So far engineers haven´t located the odor, so the plane is being sent back to Airbus HQ in Toulouse, France for a thorough investigation.

A similar issue occurred with the A330neo in Portugal and Senegal. Airbus said the company is working on a solution to solve odor problems in the cabin of a small number of Airbus A330neo in service.
