The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) has developed and launched a new online e-learning platform for the Materials Management Operations Guideline/Logistics Evaluation (MMOG/LE), the company said.
The e-learning is available now in English and priced affordably for any size supplier. The course will be available in other languages in the near future.
MMOG/LE is the global standard for supply chain management processes that reduces costs from errors, waste, and workload for suppliers and customers. It provides automakers and their suppliers with a single-assessment tool for a comprehensive evaluation of a supplier´s performance.
Likewise, it helps automakers evaluate the strength and capability of their supply chain. The tool can be used throughout the entire product life cycle, from early product development and pre-production through post-production and aftermarket phases.
This e-learning course is designed to improve materials management efficiency and effectiveness in an organization´s supply chain. Delivered by AIAG volunteer and multiple winner of the AIAG Outstanding Achievement Award, Terry Onica, the course includes best practices to complete the MMOG/LE assessment tool, identify business integrity gaps, and prepare action plans. It takes approximately three hours to complete. There is a knowledge test after each module. The successful participant will receive a Certificate of Completion via email.
The Automotive Industry Action Group is a unique not-for-profit organization where OEMs, suppliers, service providers, government entities, and individuals in academia have worked collaboratively for more than 30 years to drive down costs and complexity from the supply chain. AIAG membership includes preeminent manufacturers and many of their parts suppliers and service providers.
