AFAR partners with United Airlines, LensCulture to launch new travel photography awards

AFAR Media, in partnership with United Airlines and LensCulture, has announced the launch of the AFAR Travel Photography Awards, the company said.

The competition is open to entries from around the world and in a variety of image types, including landscape, portraiture, adventure, documentary, wildlife, urban, and the journey. Prizes include United Polaris international business air travel to anywhere United flies, cash prizes, a photography masterclass with renowned photographers Joel Meyerowitz or Steve McCurry and publication in AFAR´s travel magazine and on AFAR.com.

Headquartered in New York and San Francisco, AFAR Media´s portfolio of platforms includes: AFAR magazine; AFAR.com; Learning AFAR, a non-profit program that introduces the importance of travel to underserved high school students; and AFAR Experiences, an immersive travel event series.
