Aeromexico reports 91% decrease in passengers transported in April 2020

Grupo Aeromexico S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: AEROMEX) has reported it transported 151,000 passengers in April 2020, a 91.1% year-on-year decrease, the company said.

International passenger numbers decreased by 96.8%, while domestic passenger numbers decreased by 87.7%.

Aeromexico´s capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs), decreased by 82.3% year-on-year. Of the capacity offered 37.8% was deployed, primarily for long haul international charter business. Adjusting for these operations, the scheduled capacity reduced by 89%.

Demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPKs), decreased by 93.3%, year-on-year.
Aeromexico´s April load factor was 47.9%, a 34.2 p.p. decrease versus April 2019.
