AE Industrial Partners acquires Gryphon Technologies

Florida-based private equity investor AE Industrial Partners, LP (AEI) has acquired Washington, DC-based defense engineering and technical services firm Gryphon Technologies LC, the company said.

AEI will combine Gryphon Technologies with CDI government Services, Inc., a fully-owned subsidiary of CDI Corp. CDI is a portfolio company of AEI.

Gryphon said the opportunity to partner with AEI, given its expertise in the defense industry, will help further accelerate the company´s growth. Combining Gryphon with CDI government Services will expand the team and capabilities.

Gryphon Technologies, LC is an engineering and technical services firm specialising in defense systems and integration, naval architecture and marine engineering, programme management, test and evaluation, and logistics.

CDI government Services, operating through its CDI Marine company, LLC and CDI-M and T company, LLC subsidiaries, provides aviation engineering, ship design, naval engineering, and professional services to the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and prime contractors who serve government agencies.

AE Industrial Partners invests in aerospace and defense, power generation, and specialty industrial companies. The company has more than USD 2.7bn of assets under management specialising in control investments in aerospace and defense, power generation, and specialty industrial businesses.
