Adacel completes ATC training system installation at St. Maarten airport

Adacel has completed installation and site acceptance testing for is MaxSim tower simulation system and intelligent communications environment (ICE) training systems at Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten, the company said.

The Adacel MaxSim tower simulator will enable training in all facets of aerodrome control. The ICE stations are independent systems that are used to assist in aviation phraseology proficiency and communications procedures. The Adacel systems will be integrated into the St. Maarten Civil Aviation Authority´s ATC training program and will allow the region´s air traffic controllers to have access to tools that will promote the development of the essential skills to perform in accordance with international standards. St. Maarten joins Curacao and Trinidad within the Caribbean region using Adacel ATC simulators to enhance their controller training capabilities.
