Ad-Sol Nissin (3837:TYO) and Lynx Software Technologies, Inc. said they have announced a new collaboration focused on providing highly secure solutions to the Japanese Market.
Ad-sol Nissin and Lynx have worked together for over 20 years providing embedded solutions based on the LynxOS real-time operating system to top tier Japanese companies in the automotive, manufacturing, industrial, office automation and transportation markets.
The new collaboration is focused around new secure technologies from Lynx and has been driven by the increasing demand for security solutions in Japan, especially among the social infrastructure associated with the growing Internet of Things (IoT) market.
The key technology from Lynx is the LynxSecure separation kernel hypervisor, which combines the highest levels of security with real-time performance and unique virtualization technology to offer end-to-end protection, from the endpoint, through the gateway and into the cloud.
Ad-Sol Nissin will license the innovative LynxSecure technology to help build secure solutions for Japanese customers in both the IT and IoT areas, and will maintain a very tight collaboration with both Lynx and others security vendors with complementary technologies to LynxSecure.
As part of the collaboration, Lynx will support Ad-Sol Nissin to form a security research and development center in San Jose, California, to take advantage of the close proximity of the security technologists from Lynx and to accelerate the building of secure solutions.
As the world starts to connect everything to the Internet, giving access to billions of connected devices across the globe, it also opens up those devices to a new world of cyber threats.
The award winning LynxSecure separation kernel hypervisor is a bare-metal architecture, designed by Lynx that differentiates from normal hypervisors by removing the un-needed functionality from the “security sensitive” hypervisor mode.
