ACI reports Sheremetyevo is best European airport for 2nd consecutive year

Moscow´s Sheremetyevo Airport has announced the Airport Council International (ACI) has named Sheremetyevo the best large airport in Europe in 2019, the company said.

According to a survey by ACI´s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Programme, Sheremetyevo led other airports in the category of airports serving more than 40 million passengers per year.

Sheremetyevo Airport has consistently led the rating of the best airports in Europe in terms of quality of service since 2012, both across the continent as a whole and in categories corresponding to passenger traffic. This is the second year the airport has been recognized as Best European Airport.

Sheremetyevo International Airport served 49.933 million passengers in 2019, an 8.9% increase over the 2018 figures.

The ACI´s ASQ program is an international initiative that surveys passengers at airports on the day of their flight. Every year, approximately 640,000 individual surveys in 47 languages are conducted in 91 countries as part of the program.
