A4A commends TSA decision to require face masks

Americans 4 Airlines (A4A) has announced its approval of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirement that employees wear face masks while performing screening operations, the company said.

A4A said it applauds TSA´s decision to prioritize the safety and well-being of passengers and employees.

The TSA´s decision comes on the heels of A4A´s member passenger carriers voluntarily announcing that customer-facing employees and passengers will be required to wear a cloth face covering over their nose and mouth throughout the journey — during check-in, boarding, in-flight and deplaning.

Airlines for America (A4A) members are Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Atlas Air, Delta Air Lines, FedEx, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines and UPS. Air Canada is an associate member.

A4A advocates on behalf of the leading US airlines, both passenger and cargo carriers. A4A works collaboratively with industry stakeholders, federal agencies, the Administration, Congress, labor and other groups to improve aviation for the traveling and shipping public.
