Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the US airlines, has named Alison McAfee to serve as the new managing director, communications, the company said.
McAfee, who begins her new role effective immediately, brings immense industry experience to A4A and has spent more than 15 years in public relations, specializing in consumer and travel PR, crisis communications and issues management.
Since 2013, Alison served as the senior director of corporate communications at Hawaiian Airlines in Honolulu, where she led the airline´s global media relations and internal communications strategies. From 2006 to 2013, she worked at JetBlue Airways in New York as a spokesperson and manager of external communications, where she focused on growing the airline´s marketing, brand and sales priorities.
