Hong Kong-based Innovation Technology and 3D Sound Labs have collaborated to bring 3D audio headphones to Innovation´s customers, the company said.
Through this collaboration, Innovation Technology will become a licensee for the “powered by 3D Sound Labs” hardware and software technologies, and will provide its customers with reference designs for gaming as well as virtual reality.
Innovation Technology reference designs for gaming and virtual reality headphones are expected to launch in September 2016.
Innovation Technology started audio headphones, telecom headsets and other audio products manufacturing in 2002. With three factories now established in PRC, the company has close to 8000 people across its HK headquarters, Shenzhen R&D center and factories.
3D Sound Labs was founded in January 2014 by entrepreneur Dimitri Singer, consumer electronics specialist Xavier Bonjour and Centrale-Supelec research engineer Renaud Séguier, to develop 3D audio software technologies as well as hardware.
